Hey thanks m8.
I see lots of those are compilations. Not exactly what I was looking for but thanks a bunch. 2, 6, 7 and 9 I already knew.
In any case, really interested in those Willie Colón albums (I also found Siembra).

>Not exactly what I was looking for
Why? Some artists are just very old, so their good stuff can only be found on compilations/box sets.

Yeah, you're right. I am a Latin music pleb. It's just that I don't feel like listening to long compilations or whatever (I don't even know how long they are), but in any case I noted all of them down as soon as you posted.

By the way, anon. You Latin? Just curious. I didn't expect the yankees in this board to be able to name more than one Latin artist *tips fedora*

Shit anon, ily.
I didn't know any of those nice Argentinian albums, they all look very very interesting, specially the Gustavo Cerati one.
One scene that's not recognized nearly as much is Brazil's post-punk scene. There was this huge boom in post-punk bands around the time the military junta was ending, exploring a whole load of stuff ranging from power pop(Ira!) to trying to be Joy Division (Legião Urbana) to bordering on ska (Paralamas do Sucesso) to what at times bordered on post-hardcore (Titãs). It's really interesting.
