He was literally a one in a million voice. Ranks among giants (tone-wise) like Morrison or Danzig.

as far as other soulful voices.. I mean that's one of the reasons Grunge had appeal, Kurt and Chris Cornell had emotional quality to their voice that could really make you feel what they were singing, particularly live.

Travis Meeks of Days of the New was a pretty damn talented vocalist. Too bad his band didn't get further. Just as good as AiC EPs imo
