this is the best kanye album imo and im not even trolling. give it another listen sometime, original tracklist.
I re-listened to TLOP the other night and I think I agree. I don't think it's his best, but it reaaaallly shot up in my regards.
I just wish Chance had never persuaded Kanye to add 'Waves' to the album. It's nice and all but really doesn't fit. Same with 'Fade' sort of, I just feel like it sticks out and doesn't do much for me.
Just sounds like generic pop rap drivel to me desu. More so than Graduation.
It's just behind yeezus for me in terms of quality

only good track is ultralight beams. rest is forgettable trash. easily his worst album
Yeezus and MBDTF are better, but Life of Pablo is still OK

waves is incredible, especially on first listen. I feel like it fits with the theme very well especially coming after I Love Kanye
1. Ultralight Beam
2. Father Stretch My Hands Pt.1 (change terrible lyrics in intro)
3. Famous
4. Freestyle 4 (mixed with some of Tyler's WTFRN)
5. FML
6. Real Friends
7. Wolves (original version no shit rap, and no shit quality Frank)
8. 30 Hours (Soundcloud Version)
9. No More Parties in L.A.
10. Fade
11. Saint Pablo
Pt. 2 is filler.
Maybe Feedback but eh.
Lowlights is kinda good but it doesn't serve much of a purpose.
Highlights is boring.
I Love Kanye is literally too true, it's not a nice reminder that we don't have Old Kanye.
The rap in Wolves is so shit christ.
Get that shit intermission out of there.
So angry that Andre was wasted on 30 hours like that.
Facts has a good beat but the lyrics make me wanna commit.
Fade is obligatory dance track.
Saint Pablo is one of the best tracks here, it's a pity it was released later than the rest.
This is THE definitive TLOP tracklist, and had this been what we would have got would have been one of Kanye's best.

Have you heard the demo that was just chance tho? You can hear bits of it in the studio on youtube somewhere. It sounds better than kanyes, probably would have been better as just chance

shit quality frank is best quality frank

>shit quality frank is best quality frank
The performance and lyrics are fine, but that quality drop from studio to "recorded through headphones plugged in to mic jack" is way too jarring to enjoy.
How did that fucking track make it to the album.
>>74108150
I dunno I thought it fit the erratic vibe of the album
Maybe I've just been meme'd into accepting Kanyes laziness as genius tho
>>74108198
I think Frank's to blame. He was still a recluse at that stage wasn't he?
Literally phoned it in.

IMO it's 3rd best in his discography. It could have potentially been #1 or 2 if he stuck with the gospel themes more and cut out some of the weaker tracks like freestyle 4.
