I fucking hate the production on this. Some parts sound like scrapping nails on a chalkboard. I really want to love this but desu I like Before the Dawn Heals Us better
My favorite album of all time. There's nothing else like it as far as I can tell. No other album makes me feel the way this one does
One of my favorite albums of all time. M83 hasn't been the same since Nicolas left. They had a really interesting edge to their music when it had more shoegaze and noise rock influence. I love basically everything they've put out but I'm over the current 80's pastiche sound (Hurry Up is great though). Unrecorded-->Run Into Flowers--->In Church-->America is a godtier run of songs.
anyone who remixes m83 is a little better

I really enjoy the gritty/noisy textures on this album though--to me it's what separates it from the rest of their discog. The climaxes on a lot of the tracks are like getting cranially blasted by this huge fucking stacked wall of frequencies and it's glorious. I definitely catch myself turning the volume down a notch or two on some of the tracks though but it's really not too bad.

I hope not
Memes aside, they became a great singles band after this album

They blew up so quick with the singles I forgot they have a genuine classic album.
Junk was trashola.
