while doing exercise depends how fast you are running, it works better with a song/album with a simple rhythm, not too fast not too slow

Generally japanese shoegaze, or anything with a steady beat, really, since I have this odd thing where I end up running following the beat.

I once listened to prog rock while jogging, it didn't end up going that well. Also polyrhythms are no fun.
