Any thoughts? I thought the middle of the album lacks.
singles annoyed me.
album suffered from bubblegum pop production. they lost what made them unique which was the folksy sound, and their lyrics turned from personal stories to tumblr-esq comments on society with all the depth of a street puddle with a shinny oil slick.
3/10.

Didn't know it leaked. Probably won't bother with it because the singles have been consistently trash.
Not bad. Taking it in a new direction which is obviously going to alienate some fans, but lost a lot of the poetic lyricism that made their earlier work so appealing. A lot of what they were going for felt far too on-the-nose and obvious for a band of their caliber. The themes expressed are a bit hackneyed and well-worn, with a few exceptions that show themselves in shining moments, and there's some great production in there that makes staying through for the listen well worth it, as does the gorgeous penultimate and outro.
All and all I'd call it pretty good, worth the listen. Lasting tracks for me are Everything Now, Electric Blue, We Don't Deserve Love.

another elctro pop trash
its ok
probably not higher than a 6/10
Ironically, this album does best when it takes some of ideas of Reflektor's second disk, namely Porno and Supersymmetry. Put Your Money On Me features this the most, being the standout here, quality and mood wise.

anyone has a link
NME gave this album a 10/10 somehow

NME is garbage
pretty sure they though Arctic Monkeys AM is 10/10 and legendary on the level of bowie, etc.

It's fucking shit and butler is way too up his own ass conceptually. Thank god both Fleet Foxes and Broken Social Scene stopped indie from totally dropping the ball this year.

The National will drop indie AOTY
I really don't like Peter Pan or Chemistry at all.

It's actually a good album, and i had zero expectations after the singles.
7.5/10 for me, their weakest obv.
But, i feel it's basically Reflektor pt2. Start with the singles, put a "rock" song (Chemistry, awful), then finish the first part with a song that has 2 parts, each one is like the part that represents. The second part has the longest and most "ambitious" songs, and it's clearly better than the first songs.
Finally, they ended the album again with a slow track, reminiscent of Supersymmetry.
Anyway, i hope their next album won't keep with this dance-rock style. It's really worn out by now (i'm not native english speaker btw)

you're both forgetting the inevitable AOTY
