Just finished reading Cosey's autobiography earlier today.
The thing absolutely destroys this "sage-like old hippie" image that P-Orridge has managed to contrive for himself in recent years. Not that it was ever a convincing image to begin with.
Like I've always known that the guy was an egomaniacal liar and attention-seeker, but this book makes it pretty clear that he's just a straight-up sociopath as well. It's a shame that none of the pseudo-transgressive NYC socialites who he's surrounded himself are going to call him out on it.
>>
>>74092495
it's a shame because the early industrial community was a really big thing for the LGBT community and alot of them were ( despite being freaky) were good people and helped each other out. Even I bet Steven S and David tibet and they were amazing. Genesis just kills this shit.

A few, actually:
Ike Turner
Phil Spector
Varg Vikernes

>Be teenager in early 90's Norway
>Hate christianity and modern society
>Find nazism pretty cool
>Hang around with other weird people (nazis, commies, pagans, misanthropic satanists, etc)
>try to start a civil war by burning down churches with your mates
>Your friend Euronymous starts to hate you for some reason
>Makes plans to kill you
>Drive cross the country to 'give him a note' and kill him before he kills you
>Give the judge a massive smug smile in court after being sentenced to 21 years of prison

>>
>>74094094

industrial is a great genre that's just misunderstood because it has an edgy aesthetic, when the point was too draw people into the controversy. Also its quality gay music
>>
>>74094728
you clearly werent around the 90s when industrial was the trendy flavor of the month
>>
>>74094675
Rumors of paedophilia have surrounded Christopherson for ages, as far back as the TG days.
Some of the questionable shit he said in interviews coupled with various allusions in Coil's work(look at the Love's Secret Domain video, for starters) coupled with the fact that he moved to Thailand towards the end of his life(Thailand being a country notorious for its lax attitude towards child abuse and for serving as a haven for middle-aged Western paedophiles who move there so they can molest kids without having to worry about the cops kicking their doors down) paints a pretty suspicious image of the guy.

industrial is very much connected to acid house and synthpop. its a very broad genre and not all of it is weird
>>
>>74094819
how do i get quality boipussi like that?
it's not fair
>>
>>74094728
Industrial has been extremely trendy since the late 2000s thanks to the sanitized, fashionable, Tumblr-friendly takes on industrial peddled by record labels such as Posh Isolation, Ascetic House, Sacred Bones etc.

>>74094761
Industrial rock/metal wasn't particularly trendy in the 90s though, despite the presence it had in the mainstream music industry. The likes of Foetus and Godflesh got covered in The Wire and whatnot, but Ministry, NIN, Marilyn Manson and all that other shit was generally regarded as highly uncool teen angst music/Lollapalooza fodder.
>>
>>74094835
That stuff's EBM, not industrial. It's essentially synthpop/acid house with aspects of industrial strewn in.
>>
>>74094700

and if you want to " ease" yourself into it, it sounds kin weird or basic to some but start with COIL's discography, but backwards. Listen to ape of napels first then black antlers then keep going backwards, perfect way to " get into" the sound as well as get an ear for dark ambient and some drone elements.

I knew Sleazy at some point in my life. He was, ehm... he didn't "molest" anybody, but he was definitely attracted to really younger teens and kids. Peter had a rich life, so he probably paid for having sex with them. Lots of Coil songs have in their song titles and lyrics the words "children and baby", so there's allusion of "pedophilia" on them. It's still unknown if Peter touched or had sex with babies, but... for all I know, he def fantasized with that.

Remember when Gen was exiled? That was indeed for a video that Johnn and Peter filmed, with "strong sex scenes". With children? We really don't know. Let's leave it like that...

the industrial music movement started in the late 70s and ended in the early 80s
