harder better faster stronger is simultaneously a great pop track, something which has been CONSTANTLY referenced in the subsequent dance music culture, has a great music video, has inspired an even MORE creative DIY music video, and is the clear standout on music-theoretical grounds.

When I got the album in early 2001, Daft Club card and all, I was taken with how much more developed the master track was than the Napster ish I had got over the past few months. I listened to that one track dozens of times within the first few days of having the album, above all others. And I was totally vindicated in my preference.

Harder Better Faster Stronger is one of the top five Daft Punk tracks, and the easy standout on Discovery.

I don't think you quite realize how much effort and cutting was put into some of these songs either. Face To Face's main hook has some surprisingly complicated sample cutting involving small bits of audio from ELO, Kenny Loggins and The Alan Parsons Project
