I don't particularly care for the looping and degeneration at the end, but I still think The Background World is easily the best track.

Heard "Less Than", listened through it a few times, decided it wasn't worth listening to. Was I wrong? That song was really, really bad.

This is probably my favorite standalone EP from NIN. Sure, there are overlaps with Year Zero and With Teeth, but it's so listenable and varied. And The Background World has been giving me continuous orgasms for the last two days, so I can't argue against it

The Lovers was the least interesting track, but the other 4/5 of the EP made up for it in bulk. Every release gets one forgivable offense

Like WT was to Year Zero, The Slip and Ghosts
Like Hesitation Marks is to NTAE and ADD VIOLENCE

They are good, but they are first drafts to superior work.

While I thought Hesitation Marks was good (great desu), my favorite NIN album is either Ghosts I-IV or The Fragile. Every album and EP (other than Year Zero) is worth repeated listen and plenty of respect, but some get it more than others, dude.
