This is the best power death album out there.
Try to disagree.
Several years ago in a metal thread some /mu/tants predicted that CoB would be their generation's Pantera, spawn a bunch of shitty clones in the future and greatly influence the direction of mainstream metal.
So, did it happen?

>spawn a bunch of shitty clones
nope. at least not successful ones
Probably my favorite band as a kid.
>>74070605
i wish that had happened instead of contemporary mainstream metal desu

Pic related is better in every way.

How big are CoB exactly?
I remember being 13 when I discovered them online, they had a massive following in Macedonia/the Balkans at the time (well, massive is a stretch, but they were a band people would post them constantly).
Never been a huge fan of them, I think their shit aged terribly, but still wonder how much of an impact they have...
This is the album that got me into metal.

They are kinda garbage these days. Their first albums are goat tho.

They were pretty big, but I didn't get really into them because they merged the kinds of power and death metal that I never liked (it was almost like those shitty folk metal bands that basically play melodeath with some random obscure celtic instrument tacked on, except with cheesy European PM instead). Come to think of it I haven't heard anything about them in years, I wonder if they faded away a bit.

their second to last album from 2014 has the best song of their career on it

They're having like a tour or something, like a 20th anniversary thing. They're also doing Knotfest, which has a terrible line-up, maybe 3 things I'd check out, but it's a maybe.
>>74071051
really generic melo-death, ugh
>>74070891
They're like Metallica of extreme metal. I think that is the best way to describe their popularity and the type of people who listen to them.

Wintersun's debut wins.

Basic melodeath without power elements but a great album nonetheless.

Holy shit anon, that's a great way to put it actually!
Makes a lot of sense.

Worst of their first 4.
