just started working on this and im not sure how i feel about it yet and im kind of stuck as to what to do next. I like the main melody but something just seems off, anyone have any advice?

Anyone have tips on getting a private space in which to work on music when you're broke and in college?

I can't produce anything because I don't have my own house and I will be too loud. I want to record drums, work on singing better, and generally make very personal music that I don't really want anyone else to hear until its completion.

Renting studio time is out of my budget and I feel like having a limitation on time and the pressure of working with other people's equipment wouldn't be ideal for me. Finding a house to rent is also currently out of my budget, and it's even harder since I'd have to find a literal house that isn't part of an apartment complex (to avoid noise complaints).

It's driving me crazy. I've been listening to a lot of inspiring music lately and I can't do anything. I don't want to have to wait until I've finished my degree just to make a decent song.

Clearer and slightly louder, panned slightly right, with some e-piano (think Wurlitzer rather than Rhodes) doing little fills between your main piano, panned slightly left.

As it is the drums - especially the snare - poke out a little too much but that won't be so much of an issue if you fill the soundstage more, a more prominent ride cymbal in the chorus will add a lift if you need it.
