I got into Tyler's music in 2012.

Was a big fan of Goblin and Bastard. Listened to them all the time, they really spoke to me since I was a depressed, angsty, edgy 17 year old. Then Wolf came out my last year of high school. I fucking loved it. I loved how chill it was and the production was incredible.

I then saw him live in Ottawa in 2014. Had a really fun time with a buddy of mine. It was a pretty cool show, very high energy. Even got to see Tyler up close behind a fence before he left. Was gonna talk to him but was too nervous. But I waved.

Then I sort of stopped listening to him as much, and grew a bit out of his stuff and fashion. Cherry Bomb came out and while I liked a couple tracks, really tried to get into it I wasn't as big on the loudness of it and the theme. I don't listen to Tyler as much as I used to (Or Earl) but Odd Future was a part of my teenage years and a fun time. Tyler is also funny as fuck and I used to love showing my buddies funny Tyler interviews and videos on YouTube.

I like the direction of this album, I like how chill the vibe is, I've always loved songs like Bimmer, Okaga Ca and Wheels more than his more violent HYPE songs. I used to enjoy them when I was younger but now not as much.

But this is a cool album. I'm excited to hear it in 320 quality.

People give Tyler a lot of shit and I do think looking back on his old stuff there are some really cringy lines but man, that's just being young. Your mindset changes. I'm glad he's being honest now more than ever and it's cool he's real about being bi or whatever. He's a cool guy.

Funny you say that, that was when I got into hip hop. First album I listened to by Tyler, one of the first hip hop albums as well. Really made my senior year. Was recommended Goblin by a friend and really saw how he changed from being an edgy rapper to having some r&b motives 2 years later.

a lot of people first discovered Tyler from the Yonkers video, and there was a good 4 months between that and Goblin for a ridiculous amount of hype to be built
it could never live up to it and was pretty wack anyway

Boppin Bitch and Bitch Suck Dick were embarrassing even at the time, thank fuck they keep Taco out of their albums altogther now

Bastard and Wolf are really solid (despite Wolf being bloated as fuck), so it's strange that he had such a dip in quality in between, the fame must've really muddied up the writing and recording process of Goblin
that said, I think Cherry Bomb is almost as bad, so maybe he just has these short bursts every 5 years or so where he hits gold

The album's beautiful. Retrospectively thinking about how much Tyler's grown while listening to Boredom and Enjoy Right Now, Today really made me start to tear up.

It's a very deep record of learning who you are, learning to love yourself, and learning to love others around you.

i think conceptually yeah. the complaints about cherry bomb got to him a little bit hence why this album sounds so much more formatted than cherry bomb and there's more detail to mixing tricks. he really made this album for other people and not just for himself as usual.

Pothole is probably my favorite song as it stands but there's not one song I dislike or hate on this. I'm pleasantly surprised.

HOLY SHIT I JUST NOTICED

This is the first album that doesn't have a track named after the album. Bastard, Goblin, and Wolf all had intro tracks named respectively, Cherry Bomb had the self named track later on, but SFFB doesn't have a track called Scum Fuck Flower Boy. I mean there's "Where this Flower Blooms" but that's the closest.

Who Dat Boy should have been the last track.

The album works so much better that way.
