What's your name, knight? I have a name: All The World It's my time, all of it. It's always about getting money And in this I always sink And I have name: No one And I seek conscience. [Chorus 1] All The World And Nobody That no one seeks conscience Search the world and nobody All The World And Nobody [Verse 2] Are you looking for more, my friend? I search for life and whoever Life, I do not know what it is. Death, I know him [Chorus 2] All The World And Nobody Everybody seeks life And no one knows death. All The World And Nobody [Verse 3] I'm very glad to fool you. And lying was born with me I always tell the truth Without ever straying [Chorus 3] All The World And Nobody Everybody is a liar. And no one ever tells the truth All The World And Nobody
These lyrics were wrote based on a play from the XVI century, by the famous portuguese playwright Gil Vicente. In this song, the two knights - Everybody and Nobody (symbolically named, of course) - come across each other and discuss about their character. Everybody wants more money, is searching for life or whoever "gives him" life, and lies all the time. Nobody seeks conscience, knows death and always tells the true.
