I thought they moved past this dumb 60's kitsch look for her with Ultraviolence. Why did they backslide into it?

I honestly listened to Lana del Rey for many years and I fell in love with "Born to Die". I think it was very unconscious at the time because we have to be honest: she may even have a beautiful voice but at the lyrical level the songs always hit the same subject. Over the years the albuns have become increasingly monotonous and annoying. I understand she's upset about the illegal download situation, but it's the internet, these things happen. Either way I hope that in the meantime it will be filled with a wave of creativity because she needs it.
