Why are King Crimson's albums between ITCOTCK and Red not often discussed?
I just listened to this and it was pretty good
the wetton era live stuff is especially god tier

In the Wake Of Poseidon, Lizard, Islands, Larks, and SBB are all amazing they need to be discussed more imo
>>74011771
i think wetton was their best vocalist and my favorite bassist to ever lend his talents to the crimson king.

Poseidon, Lizard and Islands are too similar to ITCOTCK so I guess they feel more like an expansion pack rather than real albums.
Larks is always posted (and considered one of the top three KC albums).
>>74011747
Islands is secretly their best album.

ITWOP is essentially a poor man's ITCOTCK for the first half with a fairly great second half.
Lizard and Islands both have their highlights but don't quite reach the level of consistency of ITCOTCK, Red, and LTIA. Much the same can be said of SLABB as well.
Discipline is also fantastic; I haven't had a chance to hear their later stuff yet. ITCOTCK, LTIA, Red, and Discipline are all on another level.

wew
>see they're coming to DC later this year
>cheapest tickets are $273
Wew lad. I know having 8 members(3 being drummers) isn't cheap but still

Ordered this piece of shit 2 months ago, and finally got it delivered today.

Larks is often rated alongside Red and ITCOTCK. Poseidon was a solid album but the others were just okay.

FTFY
Lizard is low-key probably one of my favorite albums of all-time
>that perfect, dream-like transition into the titular track with Lady of the Dancing Water followed by Prince Rupert Awakes
Soooo fucking good
>>74011747
Larks Tongues is discussed on here all the time
>>74012459
i really like Jon Anderson's vocals on the Prince Rupert Awakes part
>>74012032
Lizard and Islands are NOTHING like ITCOTCK though
They have similar structure sure, but the actual meat of the albums are completely different
>>74011747
If any of their albums are barely discussed I'd say it would be Thrak and everything after it
