It's not though. The best stuff in jazz is the really dense stuff like Ornette Coleman's Science Fiction or Henry Threadgill's In For A Penny, In For A Pound

Entry level classical tends to be the same. Time is a good sieve for quality. Shitty fotm and bubblegum shit is forgotten more over time.
Same deal will happen with current genres after a while. Critics will get a clearer idea of what was important with time.
