My ignorant gf bought me pic related, but because beats are not durable, the bass in the right ear blew out not even 60 days later

Scrounge the floors at your nearest metro train station, be sure to check under benches and trashcans, you should be able to find what you're looking for at a reasonable cost.

ease up man, I've got a good pair of studio headphones. I just need a more portable pair for work

Hifiman RE-400s have a very flat and neutral response that can rival some $200 IEMs. I bought mine for $80 but I think they've gone down in price. Buy the regular version without the mic for a braided cable.
Klipsch Image X11s are also really good, they original retailed for like 300ish but you can find them under $100 nowadays. Most comfortable pair of iems I've ever worn, consumer friendly v-shaped sound, decent durability despite having a super thin cable.
If you are looking for bang for the buck, go with chink shit. I would reccomend the TFZ 5s based on what you're looking for.

neither of these have a hook but you can buy a third party silicone hook
