I'm convinced most albums over about 45 minutes overstay their welcome and are frequently getting diminishing returns for every extra minute, unless it's prog or something. It's hard to make a captivating album longer than 50 minutes in my opinion

generally i listen to an album in one sitting, whereas with books i read in intervals. either you sit down and read a whole book in one sitting, or you listen to albums in several sittings. either way youre a fucking idiot
