I mean, godspeed didn't rip them off nor is it apparent they had an influence on them. If you have the time, assuming you do because you've made it a priority to have /mu/ back up your faulty claims, give "Story Static Sleep" a read. It's essentially a pathway through the three waves. I'm almost finished with it and though I disagree with a lot of the book, it's still marvelous. The author interviews a lot of interesting and or essential people to all three waves.
But to jump on the wave battle debate, they're not all that comparative. They're all totally different genres.
