Does anyone else see the correlation with what's happening with hip hop right now and what happened with rock and glam metal/hair metal?

The beat for peak a boo is always stuck in my head, just a shame everything else about the song is garbage.

You had a point until the last part. Unless my knowledge of glam/hair metal is totally fucked, that was a mostly white genre, so said dilution didn't happen. At least not in that sense.

anon is referring to the genre of rock music as a whole. rock still had a very large black audience that coexisted with the white audience until rap came along and gave blacks more representation in music, but that's being ruined now.
