Kid A is the only good radiohead album
Kid A is their only good album
How can Kid A even be an option
amnesiac
>>73984961
I prefer Kid A. Also, I heard someone say OK Comptuer was better because it was so timeless, but the sound aged way worse because of how hard it got ripped off by Coldplay/Muse/Keane etc during it's day.
I mean, it's still a great album, but the sounds are VERY 2000's, for better or worse.

Came here to post these. Love the whole "Aphex Twin meets Can meets Talk Talk" style of the record. It's a pity that other than Amnesiac maybe nothing else they do is this exciting. OK Computer is especially boring with too many damn pop structured tracks, and the ones that aren't pop structured like Paranoid Android are still very simplistic.

Not a fan of TKOL's slightly less shallow foray into krautrock stylings? Or AMSP's textured, dreamlike compositions?
kid a is miles better but ok computer is good too
not a massive radiohead fan though really
>>73985168
>not a massive radiohead fan though really
why dont you just fuck off then, buddy?
>>73985108
You know, I never really thought about it but songs like Daydreaming, The Numbers and Present Tense really are the closest Radiohead has come to capturing the abstract ambience of Talk Talk's latter day albums.
Kid A
OKC blows I can't even listen to it anymore without cringing
>>73985201
being a radiohead fan was not a prerequisite to contributing to the thread, buddy
They are both fantastic albums but OKC is just a step or 20 above the rest. The writing is better than Kid A and the atmosphere is more intricately woven which contributes to its wonder and individuality. I could understand people saying KA is better but for me it's no contest. OKC is just too perfect

>>73985149
Not all of it, but there's definitely a good number of tracks where Radiohead kill it on ASMP with tracks like Daydreaming.
I never went through all of TKOL. Just listened to that one indie dance sounding track and just noped out.
>>73985259
>writing is better
>those edgy childish lyrics on Fitter Happier

>that one indie dance sounding track
Which one, Lotus Flower? I'd check out songs like Bloom, Give Up The Ghost, Seperator, Staircase, and if you're not afraid to hear Radiohead go ham then Feral.
>>73984961
Kid A obviously

Kid A is more consistent but the highs on OK Computer are transcendent so OKC
In Rainbows xdddd
>>73985108
AMSP is trash.
Burn The Witch and Present Tense are the only good songs. Daydreaming honorable mention.

Childhood is idolizing radiohead, adulthood is realizing that Muse made more sense.
Kid A for sure

>britpop versus shitty electronica
"No"
>>73987598
both for different reasons:
Kid A is flawless as an album to listen to back to front. It has a real throughline making it hard to just listen to one song. Consequentially there's not many memorable single tracks on it.
Ok Computer has the anthems, the memorable tracks. Paranoid Android, Airbag, and Lucky have the most plays out of all my Radiohead songs because they are THEIR anthems.
>>73984961
A moon shaped pool.
