In this thread we appreciate Liz Harris (aka Grouper) :3
You're playing a dangerous game, Anon

this desu
why is Grouper never discussed on /mu/ but Grimes is worshipped, Grouper is inherently better
A I A is objectively the greatest ambient album of the 2000's
Ruins is more or less a perfect album.
But it only fits a specific mood, either depressed, or sleepy.

I love how more stripped back Ruins is compared to her other projects. It's really emphasizes a lot of the emotions she's going for on that project, it feels incredibly personal.

Dragging A Dead Deer is god tier

I wanted to elaborate on what Ruins remind me of in terms of creative process and end result atmosphere but i have to name a specific artist that will shit up the thread and attract shitposters, so i won't.
It's a travesty how much Dream Loss is completely overshadowed by Alien Observer in the A I A series.

used to be pretty big into her music but it kinda got... samey (?) after a while. she's definitely a great artist though.
her collab with jefre cantu-ledesmra as raum is fantastic
I dropped acid to her music once and I swear I spoke to aliens, I transcended human consciousness

Dream Loss > Alien Observer, but I consider A I A to be one project

PLEASE do not memify grouper
