You're entitled to your opinion, but I think they're a great band that has been able to cover a lot of ground in terms of the styles they played. The earlier years had some really unique sounds and are just generally fun to listen to, while as their works post-BSSM did a great job at blending a more mainstream pop sound into the rock that they play. As far as their last two albums go, I can't say I was the biggest fan though.

Korn genuinely were a better band than Nine Inch Nails.
Their sound was their own. They created and pioneered their own aesthetic, both in terms of sound and in terms of subject matter. They were also far more adept as musicians on a purely technical level than any of the guys who served in NIN.
All Reznor ever did was coattail Wax Trax and Depeche Mode.

Some people handle it better then others, and it did help that Reznor wasn't very close with his band anymore like he as on the earlier tours. He was fighting Finck every other night and was just too out of it. It's also worth noting Reznor basically did everything on that tour, from how the band is going to sound to how the show is going to look.

I imagine it's easier to handle that life style when you have people who can help take some of the burden off.

Sobriety caused a massive increase to the quality of the live show.

As great as his voice sounds now, I think that his young voice fit better with the music. He's got a powerful voice now that absolutely works, but it almost sounds too powerful and in control, where as the whole story of TDS was the opposite of that.
