He produced the first New York Dolls album so that makes him OK in my book.

AWATS is by far my favorite album of his, but I wish he made more straight up pop songs like A Dream Goes On Forever and Hello It's Me. I can't get enough of em

Not to mention his first two under the name Runt, Todd, and Hermit of Mink Hollow are all good

Fantastic producer, obviously, but some great solo albums - AWATS, Runt and Something/Anything are my favourites. The quality goes spiraling off a cliff going into the 80s though and somewhere along the line he starts sounding like a bad Tom Waits impression. Don't smoke, kids.
