i don't get the term concept album. if it means an album where you explore a theme or story through the lyrics, then isn't almost every album a concept album

Concept album usually means an album that tells an explicit narrative but it can be extended to a collection of songs that are centered around a basic theme or whatnot.
Yeah you can argue that a lot of albums are concept albums, but unless it's very explicit (i.e. a narrative), it's usually only just an arguable position.
