absolutely, half the fun is following bowie's evolution throughout his most fruitful decade. bouncing between hunky dory to heroes to TMWSTW on your first listen is only gonna be unnecessarily jarring, though i suppose ziggy could be a good start but definitely go chronological after that. i mean there's a reason they're putting out these yearly distilled box sets of bowie's discography, context is key
