Firstly, nazism and communism are really different political theories. Communism is all about the workers owning the means of production and the wealth being distributed evenly. Nazism is about the nation, the race, glorifying the military and dominating lesser nations/races through military conquest. Stalinism (a type of communism) is very totalitarian, like Nazism, and most communist (well pretty much all) countries followed Stalinism. The original theory was actually really anti-authority. Anyway, that totalitarianism is the only thing they have in common and I'm fairly sure everyone hates totalitarianism.

Besides, I'm fairly left-wing (social democrat) and I absolutely hate Stalinism (which lead to the pointless deaths of millions of people because of badly managed famines and Stalin straight up killing people who didn't agree with him) and don't think the theory ever could really work. And pretty much every other left leaning person has the same view because left wing politics is a huge huge huge field that has lots and lots and lots of views. Not just, commie or liberal. Also, communism is derived from socialism yeah but the same way that black metal is derived from rock and roll.
