Nah it's fantastic. I love how it doesn't fall into the boring trap the minimalist works of all the other popular guys do where there's a very minor sense of progression. Like for example in an Eastman piece or La Monte Young piece you'll be hearing the same very basic melody forever before things change. The 11 chord cycle on Music For 18 Musicians makes Feldman, Young, Conrad, Riley, Part, Melnyk, Palestine and Glass look basic bitch as fuck.
