+Sleater-Kinney
+David Sylvian
i love both
Do people actually honestly truly scrobble in 2017? How do you manage to not listen to a single work of classical music? Does scrobbling correlate with plebitude?

back to /tv/ you go
>>73862594
Shouso Strip and Sanmon Gossip are both fantastic. Need to give them some more listens to form a more solid opinion on them compared to Kalk Samen.
>>73862715
This is about the closest /tv/ ever gets to discussing high culture.
Can't you just be less of a pleb?
>>73862287
sick selection man, what do you think of Current 93? I haven't quite fallen for them like I have with Death in June and Coil
>>73862306
What's that swirlies album like?
>>73862337
What's your fav ween album friend
>>73862492
Been meant to check out that Farah Abraham album for ages, does it live up to the outsider hype?
>>73862594
I feel bad that I only really recognise fishmans, I need to open up to more eastern pop
>>73862697
I wish Wah Wah was put later on in the tracklist in All Things must Pass, it breaks the flow so much imo
>>73862787

that swirlies album is fucking great
>>73862787
>Favorite Ween album
The Mollusk for sure. Chocolate and Cheese and Quebec are 2/3. I'm seeing them live on Wednesday and I'm hyped as fuck.

Richard Youngs. Start with May.
>>73862823
Dat last album, lmao. I swear a bunch of you are closet homesexuals.
>>73862742
Kalk Samen is still my fave, but I love how distinct everything in her discog is.
>>73862787
I highly recommend Jun Togawa and Shiina Ringo then. Guernica is my favorite Jun Togawa project, but it's a bit... unique. It may be an acquired taste. Her solo material and Yapoos are also fantastic.
>>73862823
Nice. I'll have to look into them then. Also, what is Eldritch Anisette?
>>73862287
Going to see ATCQ in a couple months. Extremely excited about it. Have you listened to the new album?
>>73862337
I haven't listened to discovery in a long fucking time. I might just revisit it soon.
>>73862492
What do you think of the new Kesha? I fucking hated it to be honest.
>>73862594
Is Flower Boy good? I'm being autistic about downloading the leak
>>73862823
Nicely eclectic.
>>73862855
Recommend me one of these to listen to as someone who likes classical but knows very little.

>How do you manage to not listen to a single work of classical music?

>Does scrobbling correlate with plebitude?

I'd go with schubert. Otherwise eroica, berlioz or sibelius 2;nd. If you like baroque try Dixit dominus.
>>73863195
I have a complicated relationship with modern violinists. Saw Jansen play tchaikovsky and wanted to puke despite respecting her technique and personal style. Hillary isn't my first choice if I'm choosing a recording, and I don't really like romantic bach interpretations much even if they're great performances. Just me though.
>>73863171
>Is Flower Boy good? I'm being autistic about downloading the leak
Yeah. I'm actually really surprised with how much I like it. I've never been a huge fan of Tyler, but this album has really consistent production and lyrics that don't make me cringe. It's probably just below Big Fish Theory for my hip hop album of the year at the moment, but it definitely has the potential to be a grower too.
>>73863195
Oh, I like this a lot. I just looked them up on RYM though and was immediately disappointed with how little music they put out. Definitely snagging this though.
>>73863225
That sucks. Are you a dark chocolate or milk chocolate kind of person? I'm 100% a dark chocolate kind of person. The higher the cocoa the better.
>>73863239
I know, right? Scrobbling requires literally 0 effort.
>>73863269
J Brekkie, Fishmans, Beach House, and Midori. I like this chart. You ever listen to 385 and Bleach? Both are heavier and funkier than Midori, but scratch a similar itch.
>>73863283
i don't like dark chocolate, it's too bitter for my tastes
i used to prefer white chocolate but lately i'm starting to like milk more

Hmm that's an interesting opinion. I'm personally a huge fun of her Bach but eh different strokes for different folks.
>>73863283
