If you knew anything about underground rock music in the late 80s and early 90s you'd realize Bleach is a pretty mediocre record by the general standards of the scene. Nirvana wasn't even the best SubPop band at the time, Mudhoney and Afghan Whigs were.

this, I feel like the mainstream appeal Nirvana ended up stumbling across put them in the firing line of elitist "music people" who aren't allowed to really appreciate something you've probably heard of before. This is the funniest part about Nirvana fanboys.
They worship a guy that projected an image if anti consumerist/anti establishment/anti fame (a fake image in my opinion)
but they're so obsessed with the commercial success of the band, deride bands that weren't as commercially successful or commercial sounding, and can't comprehend someone not liking the band.
