There's 200 subgenres just in metal, which is the whitest rock genre. I think miles Davis is right here.
Honestly the most annoying thrings on /mu/ is when people fight over what subgenre some obscure vapor wave album is, as if it is necessary to understand or enjoy the music.

Play real improvisational jazz instead of a just having a large arrangement of people that play pop licks pretending to be jazz? Mingus has no depth in any of his big popular records except maybe Ah Um, it's all about how the arrangement of sounds flow in and out that's it. Pay attention to how The Black Saint And The Sinner Lady is composed of cliche licks rather than anything emotional or unique.

t. has only heard Ah Um and Black Saint

Nah, ALL of Mingus' third stream stuff is watered down jazz for the sake of more sophisticated arrangements. In my opinion he's getting out done by the likes of contemporary guys like Evan Parker, Wadada Leo Smith, and Henry Threadgill who have fitted complex arrangement stuff in a way where there's still more intricate playing to go along with it.

You added nothing to your original point except for list some other randoms you found on RYM.

They aren't randoms though. You just don't know your jazz if you don't know that those guys use larger classical music inspired arrangements as well.
