it's not that though. the interview segments clearly had a lot of thought but into the design, and the visual jokes that go along with them are solid. ive also mentioned it like a million times but the shots of people picking fruit etc and the pics of them as kids (even if they aren't real pics, that's the clear implication) establish a motif of growing up, maturing etc which comes to a non-linear conclusion via the party scenes. that's why i like it. if you don't like it that's cool, but come up with something more than "it's cheap" because cheap and good aren't mutually exclusive

I wasn't even into kpop when these came out.. why are they so similar anyway? Were they trying to be as literal as possible in their head to head competition?
