In 2006 the rediscovery by internet culture of a wartime turbofolk music video known as "Serbia Strong"; produced by a group of three Bosnian Serb Army soldiers—a trumpet player, an accordion player (Novislav Đajić) and a keyboard player—as a patriotic tribute to Radovan Karadžić; coupled with a copypasta titled "Remove Kebab"; became a very popular meme that introduced turbofolk to a younger, more western audience. The stony, thousand-yard stare face of Đajić and novelty of the turbofolk music with extreme nationalistic undertones spawned a large volume of parody images and video; spread and popularized by imageboards such as 4chan; so much that "Kebab" has now become a common internet synonym for Muslims, and "Remove Kebab" a commonly used euphemism for battle against Muslims or outright ethnic cleansing. This meme has introduced Turbofolk music and Serbian ultranationalist imagery to a portion of the younger meme-consuming population in the west, but also with white nationalists and islamophobic circles, creating a new type of consumer for wartime nationalist turbofolk artists such as Miro Semberac and Roki Vulovic.
