Lonerism is the better album, better production, better (but still meh desu) lyrics, more varied sound
only redeeming factor is the guitar tone experimentation, otherwise it just becomes a boring listen. Innerspeaker still has a lot of good tracks but listening through the whole thing at once is hard after having it for 5 years now.

Pond are meh IMO. Not unlistenable, I have/enjoy a few of their albums even, but to say they are more creative then TI is a lie. Both are pretty well tied to 60's psych.

Yeah a few of them are not bad, you can tell Kevin has some pretty good songwriting talent and I appreciate he tried to change up the sound when he could have just stuck with 60's psych, but theres so many shit lyrics and campy synths it's too much for me.

Seems like he sort of realized he's shitting on Tame Impala's brand with the currents sound and is putting his energy into producing/writing for other artists and retiring the Tame Impala project until he wants to make psych again (if he ever does)

Currents is only good if you're going through a break-up
