El gran debate.

What debate? A band's best album versus their 5th best album that started their downfall? Seems easy to me

I prefer speaking in tongues

i prefer speaking in tongues. every song on remain in light has at least one loop that plays during the entire song which i find annoying. i do prefer the instrumentation and timbres on remain in light and i wish they carried it over to speaking in tongues.
speaking in tongues is very low energy. The songs are good, but a lot of them are performed without the gusto that they deserve. If you took most of the live tracks from Stop making Sense that came from this album and called it an album it might have competed with Remain In Light's magnificence but even then I think remain in light wins, although Speaking in Tongues has some good pop songs. 77 is better than both. This isn't that hard guys just listen to the albums and use your head.
Remain in Light, Speaking in Tongues, and Fear of Music are my favorites, in that order. Remain in Light beats out Speaking in Tongues by a hair due to the higher energy level and ambition that misses, especially in the second half. Speaking is great all the way through, not a bad song on the album.
Speaking in Tongues.
If the 2nd half of Remain in Light was as energetic as the 1st it'd easily win by a wide margin.
This one is easy. Fear of Music is obviously the best one.
Speaking in Tongues. Some of the songs on Remain in Light are cool the first few times you hear them, then they get kind of annoying and repetitive. I understand RIL was probably more groundbreaking but yeah, it doesn't hold up as well.
TBQH
>Remain In Light
Much more cohesive as an album, has Once in A Lifetime, more artistic
>Speaking In Tounges
Has burning down the house and thats it
