this is why a good notation system for spoken word hasn't been developed yet
break it down into notes and it's a lot easier

Don't need music theory to find dope samples, other people did that work for you.

Keep in mind that the most patrician of classical/jazz like Bach or Coltrane didn't give two shits about music theory. Hip hop is by that very comparison the most patrician genre since it completely eschews music theory without sounding like pretentious awful "experimental" garbage.
