eh, indieheads has its uses.

In general their taste is more homogenized and overall it is just a less interesting place, but at the same time it is nice to be able to occasionally discuss an album you like without people incessantly calling you a faggot.

Also its just good to keep up on music news. /mu/ is pretty unreliable when it comes to that and indieheads is a pretty good filter for all the other unnecessary shit music journalist sites will throw at you.

I've never understood this place's desire to pledge their allegiance to one site and one site only. I mean I guess I used to do the same thing when I was like 16 but I pretty quickly realized there's really no point. Every online community has its pros and cons so you might as well take advantage of what you can.

I used to participate in 2014-15. Now I just browse to keep up with indie news, like all subreddits it just got more recycled and repetitive with more subscribers. Bloated if you will.

Everyone there is vying for internet points or trying to get their best of the month thread which results in a lot of annoying recycled low-effort memes. Not to mention the teenagers in the general discussion posting about their issues and making "dae depression xD" jokes.
