When I was a young homo weeb I used to conceptualize this track first as a separation between Shinji and Kaworu, with bits of footage from the show.
The latter half being an imagined-montage of them slowly picking up, running up a hill at each other, and clashing into each other and violently making out with each other at the right moment. Caressing, fondling hair. Skinny pasty wrists happy as hel.
It was among my first CDs. I had this little group-of-seven that I didnt' expand on for years. When I started consuming music seriously around age 13 or so, I came back to the album, and especially to this closer. god damn.
Everyone needs to listen to "Out there somewhere?" by Orbital btw
