Y'know, Gillian Welch (the artist featured in my swag) appears on that O Brother Where Art Thou soundtrack.
So, you know, careful where you go tossing buzzwords, mate.

>>73772059
name album on bottom right pt. 2

>Is thom's solo stuff worth checking out?
I've only listened to The Eraser so far and I liked it a lot. It was quite immediate as well, tho I guess being a big radiohead fan contributed to that. It's not quite as mind blowing as much of radiohead is, but there are some amazing tracks on it (I'd recommend Harrowdown Hill and Skip Divided, they're my faves so far). I plan on listening to Atoms for Peace next.

Wolf Alice - My Love is Cool

>>73772129

i have the most normie favourite albums of all time :D i guess it doesnt really matter
>>73772186
Not the album I was referring to, but this is still really good. The surf-rock interval in "You're a Germ" is currently getting me going
>>73772270
lmao I just listened to Fishmans for the first time like an hour ago, blew me away desu
>>73772314
oh right sorry, that one's Thom Yorke - The Eraser
I guess i just assumed you meant the other one since radiohead and thom yorke are much more popular on here. Glad you're enjoying the other one tho
working through some big late 60s chart I found
>>73771991
welcome to moo
>>73772131
how the fuck does anyone enjoy silver apples
mediocre album
>>73772189
never want to meet you irl but I probably wont because you likely never go outside
>>73772419
See, I don't see how anyone couldn't enjoy Silver Apples, especially the first 5 songs. Its brilliant '60s psychedelic pop but it anticipates krautrock and trance, and on top of this it's one of the first albums to feature a synthesiser.
>>73772189
Big Thief - Capacity
The one at the back is the new Floating Points album just in case that's what you meant.
>>73772273
Superfast Jellyfish is legitimately one of my favourite songs ever and I completely forgot that until I saw this post. thanks anon.
>>73772491
its so fucking DULL though
its literally some lackluster percussion over a synth arpeggio and out of key singing
every track is the exact same
>>73772273
It does
Ghand em
>>73772491
>it anticipates trance
how pleb do you have to BE to say this
>>73772270
Whats the second album?
>>73772516
Are you into '60s psychedelic pop as a whole?
Yeah the singing isn't all that great, but that gives it a bit of diy charm imo. But to me the music is some of the most exciting stuff to come out of '67, the hypnotic repetition puts you in some sort of altered state, and the pusing oscillations of that homemade synth are mesmerising. I know it's a meme, but listen to it loudly.
>>73772531
this plebby apparently :^)
Are you telling me a repetitive electronic bassline over heavily syncopated 4-on-the-floor percussion isn't at all like the house movement (trance was the wrong term)
>>73772549
Can't wait for summer to be over.
>>73772531
>>73772564
>he compared Silver Apples to trance and house
way to shit on psych rock. go listen to monstercat if you want to listen to house and trance so badly.
Can't WAIT for summer to be over.
>>73771991
wish I was in the summer mood, great albums though
>>73772189
I feel like we would be friends but we would never talk about anything interesting
