That's kind of the thing behind /mu/core as well. The chart was posted as a meme because they were the albums that /mu/ talked about the most so it's a fine way for newfags to get caught up and potentially start their musical journey, saddly many anons have gotten stuck with it and don't really branch out into their own taste like they should.
