I feel like there's some kind of spiritual connection between these two albums...
Both released the same year
Both the father's of Post Rock
Laughing Stock is infinitely better though
people mumble sadly with jazzish rock melodies in the background
>Spiderland: unique piece of music with post-hardcore grooves, post-rock builds/dynamics/textures, and rhythm interplay in interesting time signatures typical of math rock
>Laughing Stock: cheesy new age garbage, like a combo of Mingus and Electric era Miles Davis being played by middle school band kids with just one year of playing experience
How is this even comparable?

Don't you dare call either of them this. Mark Hollis never mumbled a day in his life.

>new age garbage
>middle school band kids
Hollis was a genius. Just off yourself, a world without love of Talk Talk is a world without love. If you can listen to their work without liking it, you are a truly soulless person.

I love both of these albums but your praise of Spiderland and disdain for Laughing Stock makes it pretty apparent that you have a sad life
Get well soon anon.
the one on the right is the greatest rock album ever recorded
the one on the left is a rock album
What's better: Spirit of Eden or Laughing Stock?
I have a hard time choosing between the two. I think I slightly prefer Laughing Stock but they are obviously both masterpieces.

>Cheesy
>New Age
>Mingus and Miles Davis
Literally sounds like none of things, not even Davis other than the production sound
