Eurobeat unironically, as well as some AOR cheese.
SOAD
>>73760653
recommend me some eurobeat, anon. i enjoy it but dont know many artists
>>73760393
MCR is patrician, /mu/ just isn't ready to admit it.
not much qualifies as a guilty pleasure for me, but this definitely does

AND THERE WILL BE NO TENDERNESS
>>73760393
LET'S START A RIOT
>>73760944
if the black parade was acoustic, it would be what In The Aeroplane is today
Dragonforce desu
>>73760393
I mainly listen to black metal and death metal. I genuinely have no idea why I like this shit.
I really love this album and I wouldn't call it a guilty pleasure but it seems to get quite a lot of criticism.
>>73760393
Their first album is decent.
Saw them supporting Taking Back Sunday once and a load of 13 year old emo girls got caught up in a "mosh pit" and MCR dude stopped a tune to tell everyone to stop stomping young emo girls.
YEAH... GOOD GIG...
TBS were actually good though.
>>73760938
junk of the heart >>
This fucking band no Bully pls
>>73760393
>>73760393
people here will openly admit to liking green day, mcr was at least somewhat self aware
>>73762536
patrician
>>73760393
I can't stand most nu-metal but Breaking Benjamin has a good amount of songs I dig. I know it's trash but I just can't help myself.
>>73760944
I will never not shill for Gerard, he's pure
He's a great writer, shame he's just getting back into comics now.
>>73760393
kek right now 'i'm not ok' is playing on mtv
They're catchy.
Country. Including top 40 90's country.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lcOxhH8N3Bo
It's just too good. I can't help but like it
>>73764013
80's pop is somewhat tolerable compared to what we have now playing on radio stations.
>>73764013
ever heard pic related?
>>73764047
you can hear 80s melodies in todays top 40 if you listen close enough
>>73760528
>At the drive in
>Guilty Pleasure
Why? they're highly acclaimed.
This desu, I still think Creed aren't nearly as bad as what people say they are.
BLACK SAILS
AT MIDNIGHT
>>73760393
>guilty pleasures
sorry, what?
>>73764637
If you actually don't know, it's liking something that is "objectively" bad.
An example would be liking some cheesy horror movie, or some mediocre licensed movie game from your childhood.
>>73764779
not even something objectively bad. Just something you'd be embarrassed to admit to liking
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CrJOAZUCcqg
This and any other heavy, djenty music like Periphery, Volumes, Meshuggah, The Contortionist, etc. The only similar band that I wouldn't consider a guilty pleasure is Tesseract because they're legitimately great
>>73764375
I can't stand most of this album but Are You Ready and Higher are genuinely good songs
>>73760393
why call this a gulity pleasure? MCR were a great band. Just because they have a lot of teenage fan girls.. who cares!? David Bowie had young teenage fans, the beatles had young teenage fans. It's friggin' music. Jesus Christ.
>>73764327
on this board maybe. they're pretty standard emo music that i used to love as a teenager, now i sometimes go back to it for nostalgia sake
same goes for most of her discography
>>73760393
i unironically love this album - "the ghost of you" is a favorite of mine
>>73760944
/mu/ has always been into Bullets and Revenge, summerfag
how bad is it
>>73760528
atdi is sub-/mu/core
I love Pearl Jam.
I don't feel guilty about it, but I know /mu/ thinks I should.
>>73762175
I never thought about what that would be like to be a grown man playing shows for that demographic back in the day, i wonder how they actually cope
>>73766134
yeah and most /mu/-core is shit so
>>73760908
not him but Toho Eurobeat Vol 10 is a solid album
>>73764779
>>73764852
I always took a guilty pleasure as something you like but has ideas that you dislike or is too simple for you to actually consider "good". Honestly I would say that description best fits how I view anarcho-punk/some more obscure folk punk I listen to. I love listening to punk but I am an admittedly a more right wing person so some of these ideals being tossed around in them I think are absolutely retarded but I still enjoy the insanity nonetheless because I like how it sounds and how clever some artists like Pat the Bunny can get. I'll probably never put it on in the car with friends because I don't want them getting hooked on that retardation though.
>>73764779
>or some mediocre licensed movie game from your childhood
Hey, fuck you, MMPR on SNES is the greatest game on that console
>>73760938
INSIDE IN THE INSIDE OUT KOOKS
>>73763763
Not really an mcr fan but his solo album was great.
>>73764637
i'm not guilty about listening to them at all, people just always cringe when i do. i think helena is still one of the best songs (and music videos) of all times. Goodnight from Houston
>>73760393
> old photo
> still guilty
>>73762465
If you havent, check out pinback - bluescreen life
>>73760393
MCR was more good than trash, they just had obnoxious fans.
This shit is legit my guiltiest pleasure. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ysKvDwseKRQ
>>73764327
>Why? they're highly acclaimed.
You spend way too much fucking time here
>>73760393
One of my guilty pleasures is the "Sexual Healing" cover by Kate Bush. Just sounds kind of weird, her pronunciation of some words just sound goofy and the female tone doesn't sit right initially. Love the use of uilleann pipes though and i'm a huge fan of Kate Bush so it's grown on me.
Just feels kind of wrong because it's Marvin Gaye's most iconic song and he's probably my favorite artist.
https://youtu.be/7aL3PjNTqwU
>>73766096
I hope you're kidding. That band is amazing. I love them and all the music they influenced.
>>73761833

6/10 imo

>>73765756
dont feel guilty my dude mac demarco makes some bretty good jangle pop
This album and Count Your Blessings are mainly guilty pleasures due to middle school edgelord phase nostalgia, although I kinda still occasionally enjoy them without the nostalgia factor
>>73768764
I love eddie rath, like completely unironically. Shit like this and Rasengan just go so hard.
Had some friends over for a house party and we all played sets over the night and I just did a trap rap set and filled it with eddie rath and it went down so well
I've seen them in person and talked to them a bit, and they're still pretty much the best live show I've seen.
I feel like an angsty teen girl when I listen to it but goddamn is it catchy
