This is all I listen to every night for the last 5 months or more, switching between these 5 albums

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FH56ABYqEmE
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0S3owK3pN64

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1EOAqGAuWZk
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q-k9Xu5O7AY

I love them every time, I think I've finished at music. Every time I try to get something new it's a disappointment.

Try Gaussian Curve - Clouds. It's a great ambient album

Cool. Care to share some non-pleb albums, just to set an example of what true patrician ambient sounds like?

Minimalism rather than ambient but you may be interested in it.

Ryuichi Sakamoto does some amazing work as well. He has a new album that's just come out and he does a lot of soundtrack work. Highly recommend him if you're into ambient-esque stuff.

OP, some of that stuff is bordering on not-ambient, but I'm not gonna genre police you

I'm the guy who posts this album all the time. (Biosphere - Cirque)

biosphere microgravity I found at first so boring but I came back to it a couple more times and I liked it (they're good I just didn't get it at first), looking forward to giving this a listen

pic related is way better glitch

It's ideal to listen to in the winter as the photo implies, but it is a brilliant and cerebral album in its own right (like most of Biosphere's work).

Also do read his story of climbing the mountain in the pic

popular stuff is actually objectively better than obscure "art" crap. aphex twin is simply a better music author than brain eno or jean claude-bla-blah. It might be hard to accept when you're a misanthrope but the wisdom of the crowds is a real thing.
>>
>>73739015
I think you're going a little bit too far here. Yes, there are reasons why things are regarded "classics" but the fact that an artist is undiscovered doesn't automatically render them a bad artist.

At least make fun of somewhat obscure ambient like Sleep Research Facility or something.

"Hundred Acre" by Mountains is my personal favorite ambient track of all time.

Somebody posted this performance on here making fun of the audience, but that track at around the 6:00 mark is really fucking nice.

I still can't really get into Loscil's records, though. They seem a little bit too milquetoast.
