I got a chance to use Tidal at work today, using the soundiiz to transfer my playlists, things of note:

no folders, no easy way to add all tracks from an artist (i literally wanted to create a folder of all songs from the guy who's exclusive to the platform and cant had to add each album individually)

no way to copy paste the tracks and paste. no keyboard shortcuts at all
the search feature is literally verbatim text search, no in-depth options like "genre: artist: year:"

there's no free version so outside of this free trial (which was not offered a few months ago when i tried to check it out) that makes it all and all a complete waste, already canceled my membership when the whole "sprint exclusivity" was found out after I already signed up for the free 30 day trial.


the biggest joke, Jay-Z has a remix of Juvenile's "HA" on his 400 Degreez album, its listed under Jay-Z's profile on Tidal as "appeared on" and yet the track is grayed out just like it is on Spotify, so that along with the fact that most of his hits can actually still be found on Spotify but under tertiary albums that slipped passed his team of content scrubbers and the desktop client having zero features all while packaging the entire platform as premium only and this 4.44 sprint bullshit (Sprint bought 33% of the company earlier this year, BTW) make me realize he doesn't actually care about the end user.
the few HITS (of which there arent more than a handful) that are actually exclusive damn sure isnt "10 dollars a month" worthy, I'd sign up for apple music for just Dre's 1st album alone before staying with Tidal

Honestly Jay Z's 4:44 reminds me of the Bad Rats OST:

I have never had a musical experience bring me to the range of highs and lows that this album has brought to me. I challenge you to give this a listen and tell me it didn't change everything you thought you knew about music as a whole.
