That's one of my favorite albums, OP. Japan is also one of my favorite bands. Here's a brand new Japanese album that has instantly become one of my favorites.

She's literally my second favorite musician (Kate Bush is #1). Nothing is like KZK, but IMO Sanmon Gossip and Shouso Strip are essential. Muzai Moratorium is also really good and the soundtrack she made and Reimport are both underrated. She also has a band (Tokyo Jihen) that's pretty good, but not as good as her solo material in my eyes. They're still worth listening to. You're in for a great ride if you aren't too fixated on getting a clone of that album.

The closest thing I know to KZK is probably Yuu- Ten no Mikaku. It's not as bonkers or as ambitious, but has a similar feel.

What I've read about their earlier material sounds nothing like something I'd enjoy. Uroboros was really good though. I may give their later albums a shot too. I had avoided them forever because visual kei and alternative metal are generally awful.

If you like Uroboros you may like Arche. Adoratio is weird because it's all over the place, but I'd say it's post-visual kei if that's a thing.

He's gotten weirder over the years too. Uroboros was the first time he used those deep growls and really high headtones too. He's just gotten deeper and higher since.

Fantastic album, but that's Chinese. Listen to more Faye Wong. Anyway, you can get most of it on Soulseek. Remember to search in both romaji and Japanese.
