I like them but struggle to see what's so good about the album.

I really think the same as you Anon.
In this 2017 the only thing ive seen in rap most of the time rise up or be discussed generally is rappers of the caliber of xxtentacion and it sucks.
This guys are like the smell of cookies when you have munchies,the feeling of fucking craving something.
As you said their instrumentals are sick,the chemistry between them is godly and they are a breathe of fresh air.
I really hope they blow up.

The hooks are kinda bad, and they could've waited a little bit more and worked more on the lyrics. Although the continuation of the album is great, the production is very good, at least imo, and there is a lot of diversity. I'd give it 8/10.

Op has heard very little "industrial" hip hop in his life and is amazed there could be distorted guitars in a rap song
