Haven't listened to this album yet, however I remember listening to Man Plans, God Laughs in 2015 and, well... they certainly lost all the energy they had back in the early 90's. Production was terrible, mixing was shitty, and Chuck D had nothing to offer lyrically.

Hopefully this new album won't be as disappointing, but I doubt it.
