The death reports had an open verdict, and there are some things that aren't common in suicide (no hesitation wounds, two stab wounds into the chest, possible defensive wounds, stabbing through clothing into chest) and the investigation also raised concerns about his girlfriend's actions following his death. That's not to say he was killed, just that he died in an unusual way not entirely consistent with anything.
