Royal Blood, do they deserve their sudden fame?
No.
You're a redditor for even having to ask.

well my friends have all name dropped them to me for years so I would hope so
OP must be a yank. Royal Blood have been hyped up for over two years now
>>73607348
No. Although I really do like them
>>73607382
i don't mean they they just became famous, but how they just appeared out of nowhere back then.
>>73607391
Yeah, i like that they manage to get a "full" sound with a two member band
>>73607398
Probably a corporate product but hey it's better than lazy pop made with computers for dancing
Im fine with rock being in the mainstream
Although it might be slightly more poppy rock. It's miles better than what's popular now so I can't really hate it
What fame?
Anyway, they are good. They sound fresh. If you think they are not good or fresh, please suggest me better bands
They literally sounds like buttrock Black Keys
Royal Blood would have sounded dated in 2013, I don't understand why anyone gives a shit now
>>73607808
>buttrock
I wish this term would find its way back to the 90s.
They are Muse but minus everything that makes muse good

They sound more like DFA1979 and QOTSA rip off
>>73607348
deserve? probably not, but it makes sense. buttrock never fully went away. there's always a very big mainstream audience for a handful of RAWK bands like muse and foo fighters. but they're both shit now and qotsa don't release enough albums to handle it on their own.
makes sense that they industry would push another band, and probably good marketing that they have a modern indie aesthetic. in fairness, they're not bad for what they are

In all honesty, why do people call them buttrock?
I mean, it is not like they are Nickelback or anything, just some kids with a bass
