It was a perfect discography until this POS came along.
It's alright
>implying s/t wasn't garbage
This is actually their best album not counting white heat/white light
only girls and PHONIES say &nico is the best
these people are scum and waifu fags and they aint my niggas
>‘THE BEATLES WERE GARBAGE’ AND THE DOORS WERE ‘STUPID’
what did he mean by this?

The Doors > The Beatles > TVU
tbqh
>>73590400
but the discography was made garbage with the horrible album that came before it
>>73590491
this, tbqfh.
all three were GOAT, tho
>>73590491
yes ultimately this is true
the doors are more interesting due to jim dying early
beatles are only also interesting because of lennon's assassination and faul joke theories
for being an experimental art group velvet underground didn't do anything too shocking besides take drugs and be general degenerates
i still think the weirdest thing lou did was play with Metallica
>>73590573
>60's pop bands
>interesting
Pick one.

The Doors > The Beach Boys> The Kinks > The Moody Blues > The Zombies > The Beatles > The Mamas and the Papas > The Monkees > TVU > The Byrds

>The Doors > anything
Explain. They have some good songs but most has aged like milk
>>73590912
>aged like milk
This is not an argument, not only because aging like milk is not a bad thing but also because they aged like fucking wine. For me, every single Doors album is 10/10. They were quite literally incapable of making a bad song. They were way ahead of everyone around them in their production effects and atmosphere and flare, The Doors have never been replicated. Maybe I wouldn't like them as much if there were tons of other bands like them but Morrison, Manzarek, Robbie, and that other guy are the perfect combination for good music. The best part about them is that you can listen to them at any time and enjoy them, you don't have to be in a certain mood or anything, the music fits anytime and place.
>>73590912
morrison laid the foundation for the shirtless crazy rocker front man
without him no iggy pop or death grips or anyone who took influence by them
also crystal ship is still breathless kino
>>73591004
But in my city I could look up 10+ bands that sound exactly like them, maybe even better.
>>73591033
He was such a pretentious uncool man though, but alright, cred goes for Morrison being a pioneer.
>>73590469
He did have a point re: The Doors
>FATHER
>Yes?
>I want to KILL you
>MOTHER
>I want to

>FUCK you
I mean, come on

>But in my city I could look up 10+ bands that sound exactly like them, maybe even better.
I seriously doubt that. I've searched for bands like them, but I've never found anything even close. No singer has the passion and lyrical genius of Jim Morrison. I've never heard a band that fuses the piano with the misty atmosphere and grooving guitars as well as The Doors. I've never found a band like that has a full album of non-stop good songs that are like the The Doors.
>>73590491
the doors = the velvet underground >>>>>>> the beatles
>>73591316
Holy shit you're deluded. How anyone could cite the edgy psuedo-mystical lyricism of Morrison as genius is a mystery to me. It's acid fueled nonsense.
>>73591394
>not appreciating lyrics for what they add to the music
It's like you don't even understand what makes music good.
>>73591430
It's as if people have different ideas of what makes music good. Also, their music and his lyrics mostly add up to a garbled mess for acid heads to trip balls to.
>>73591316
I've never heard a band that fuses the guitar with the cheery atmosphere of a friday night at the pub and a clear, crisp sound, as well as Huey Lewis and The News.
>>73591316

Straight up not true. Their first album is a half-century old and still has tremendous staying power.
